Charles Masilela is a contemporary fine artist, with an expression of his work predominantly on charcoal, pastel and acrylic.

Charles creates a body of artwork that is intentional about honouring and celebrating predominantly Black people, an artwork that Black people can intimatelly and innately tune in with, that treats them with respect, not as suspects, villains or imposters. But as thinkers, innovators, as leaders with values and prowess.

Amongst the collectors of his works is an astude business leader, Dr Ruel Khoza, Clinix health group, Enza Construction, Aeon Investment management, the epitomes of iconic Black institutions.

He creates art that not only offends the status quo but also arouses audacity, courage and dreaming.
